Altar Society

The St. Mary’s Altar Society is responsible for caring for the purificators: the small white cloths used by priests, deacons and Eucharistic ministers during Mass.

This is a self-directed ministry that does not require a weekly commitment. On the week assigned, a member picks up the purificators at either the Church or the Chapel (located near the Parish center in the St. Mary’s Elementary School building), and takes them home to be washed, ironed and returned. The member has almost a week to complete this task.

The Altar Society holds just three meetings a year to discuss concerns and provide pointers.

Newcomers are welcome, either as regular members or on as as-needed basis.
