Help Prepare the Church for Christmas

The St. Mary’s Liturgical Environment Committee works year round to prepare and decorate the Church. Volunteers are always needed! Thanks to those who have volunteered in 2016 to make quilted ornaments for our Jesse Tree. Children will participate in Mass entrance processions and begin added ornaments to the tree on the first weekend in Advent (November 26 & 27).

Additional updates from the Liturgical Environment Committee:

  • Evergreen boughs, boxwood, holly and other seasonal greenery is needed. Boughs are needed by Monday, November 21, prior to the start of Advent. Branches and similar items for the Church doors are needed by Monday, December 19.

  • A Church Cleaning Party will be held on Saturday, December 10 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Cleaning products will be provided. Please bring buckets, rags, sponges – and muscle! Pews, window ledges, the sanctuary, statues and glass doors all will be cleaned. Please call the Rectory at (716) 683-6445 and sign up ahead of time, so the committee can create work crews and assign jobs.
