Junior Ladies of Charity

The St. Mary’s Junior Ladies of Charity this summer collected clothing and shoes to donate to the Nicaraguan Missions. They also assisted in preparing backpacks of school supplies for needy children, in collaboration with the Ladies of Charity and Catholic Charities.

Young women in grades 6 through 12 are invited to join St. Mary’s Junior Ladies of Charity (JLOC) chapter.

The Junior Ladies of Charity meet monthly and participate in numerous volunteer and service projects throughout the year. They coordinate the parish’s annual Easter Bunny Brunch, serve at the Ash Wednesday Clam Chowder Dinner, and donate gift baskets for church and school fund raisers – among many other initiatives.

The JLOC invites prospective members – and those who simply want to learn more about the group – to an Ice Cream Social on Sunday, September 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Cafeteria at St. Mary’s Elementary School. Moms are welcome, as well!
