Men’s Group

The St. Mary’s Men’s Group held its first meeting in April, with an attendance of 17.

The group stemmed from the vision of parishioner Frank Pietrantoni, who noted that the goal was to “provide an avenue for men of all ages to come together and discuss issues facing Catholic men today, to focus on some light literature study, and to strengthen ourselves and the parish by creating stronger interpersonal bonds.”

After holding two more spring meetings, the Men’s Group is on hiatus for the summer, but will resume meeting monthly in September. Watch for updates – or contact frank.pietrantoni@gmail.com. You can also call Frank at (716) 573-6919.

“Our group will decide on an ultimate direction, but as we grow, I hope we can be in a position to assist our parish and our community on service projects,” Frank said. “And on a month to month basis, we will focus on our members’ spiritual growth.”

He zeroed in on a line from one of the videos viewed by the group: “Steel sharpens steel, and one friend sharpens another.”
