After 115 years of faithful service to the Lancaster community, Our Lady of Pompeii Parish has officially merged with St. Mary of the Assumption Parish. Together, we continue our shared mission of living the Gospel, celebrating the Sacraments, and building a vibrant Catholic community.

A Message to Our Community

For generations, Our Lady of Pompeii Parish has been a sacred place of prayer, devotion, and community. We honor the faith, traditions, and memories that have shaped this church and all who have worshiped here.

As part of a parish reorganization, Our Lady of Pompeii is no longer an independent parish, and is now a part of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish. While this marks a change in parish structure, this church remains a cherished place of worship within our shared parish family. The Campus continues to offer many faith-enrichment & outreach programs and organizations.

What This Means for Parishioners

• Weekend Mass, Funerals & Weddings are still celebrated at Our Lady of Pompeii.

• Sacraments, registrations, and other records are coordinated through St. Mary’s. (If you have not registered with another parish in or outside of the BDCL Family, we encourage you to do that so we may better serve you and your families sacremental needs.)

Our Lady of Pompeii continues to be a place where the faithful gather in prayer, rooted in the same mission and guided by the same care.
